We are hosting a Dress & Suit Drive where guests can come browse a selection of formal wear at no cost. Our goal is to make sure every guest feels confident, celebrated, and ready for an unforgettable night.

Volunteers should plan to attend a Volunteer Training Meeting at Grace Community Church (4300 SW Burlingame Rd.) on February 7, 2026, at 11:00 am. This meeting will walk through event details, volunteer roles, and expectations to ensure everyone is prepared to serve our guests well.

What Guests can expect:
Every guest enters this complimentary event on the red carpet complete with a warm welcome from a friendly crowd and paparazzi. Once inside, guests will receive the royal treatment, including hair touch-ups, makeup stations, shoe shining areas, limousine rides, corsages or boutonnieres, a catered dinner, prom favors, and a dance floor…all leading up to the moment when each guest is crowned king or queen of the prom!
Every guest is paired with one of our volunteers that is 16 or older who we call a “Buddy”. A Buddy is assigned 1:1 with a guest and they eat, dance, and accompany their guest throughout the evening to make sure that each guest’s needs are met. Each buddy has submitted a background check to us for the safety of every guest. We attempt to pair each guest with a buddy of the same gender unless otherwise specified by the guest’s guardian or parent.
What Volunteers can expect:
Due to the overwhelming response over the last two years, our biggest volunteer need is a team of “Buddies”. Buddies are volunteers (16 and older) that are assigned 1:1 with a guest (teen or adult with special needs) to eat, dance, and accompany their guest throughout the evening to make sure that each guest’s needs are met. In 2025, we needed a team of over 200 buddies. Please let us know if you are willing to be a buddy by simply filling out a background check!
Everyone that volunteers or enters Night to Shine that is not a guest must fill out a background check. This includes all parents, guardians, vendors, and media. Thank you for your understanding.

Night to Shine 2026 was filled with joy, laughter, dancing, and unforgettable moments. From the red carpet to the crowning celebration, it was a beautiful reminder of how deeply loved and valued every guest is.
