Volunteers help bring Night to Shine to life, and one of our biggest needs each year is a team of Buddies. Buddies are volunteers, ages 16 and older, who are paired one-to-one with an honored guest to walk alongside them throughout the evening. From dinner and dancing to all the special moments in between, Buddies help make sure each guest feels celebrated, supported, and loved.

To help create a safe environment for everyone involved, all non-guest attendees must complete a background check. This includes volunteers, parents, guardians, vendors, and media.

If you are a parent or guardian attending with a guest, but not serving as a Buddy, please make note of that during guest registration once registration opens.
